Annie Halbert LeBlanc is a versatile soloist and choral singer based in Los Angeles, California

As an experienced singer with wide-ranging interests and the ability to adapt her voice to any environment, Annie is is equally at home on stage with an opera company or a chamber choir, singing Puccini or Tallis, or performing Mozart or Sondheim. 

Her operatic stage highlights include singing the roles of Sister Catherine in the Louisiana premiere of Heggie’s Dead Man Walking and Second Woodsprite in Dvořák’s Rusalka, both with New Orleans Opera Association, and performing the title role of Puccini’s Suor Angelica at Loyola University New Orleans. In January 2014, she was a New Orleans District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. 
 
Until the pandemic hit in 2020,  Annie was soprano soloist and section leader of the New Schola Cantorum at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Los Angeles under the direction of esteemed composer Christopher Walker.  In her years with the Schola, she had the honor of premiering and recording newly-composed choral works as well as singing chant, renaissance polyphony, and excerpts from masterworks including Handel's Messiah and Mozart's Requiem.  Annie continues to be a sought-after soloist and cantor for weddings and other church services.

Annie is a native of Saint Louis, Missouri, and received both her Bachelor of Music in Voice and Catholic Studies and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Loyola University New Orleans.
